87 days have passed since the last update of the blog, a figure that does not feed the pride and more dolls clothes us with shame. With the troubled spirits come to put a few points here to try to be honest and admit that we abandon the blog for a bit of laziness mixed with the cocktail of our final day of the year. But make no mistake, it is that we have not done anything in recent months. Things have happened many, and are some of the most interesting pods that can be counted in the entire history of the magazine, which in early November became the first three years.
Let's start with one of the most enriching spaces we have built, the Comic Book Club . This project, originally a kind of excuse to get together with friends and acquaintances to talk about comics and other tasty things, has gone to such a good pace and we have allowed ourselves to Armenia organize (and the country?) unreleased tracks and cultural activities, lectures, symposia, screenings and exhibitions. Over the past year the Club is scheduled for 12 sessions, from early August to late November, every Saturday for three hours, from 2 until 5 pm. On average, each session attended by about 15 people who proposed them, sometimes brazenly, sometimes with some solmenidad, readings of short stories and graphic novels. That was the base. But at times we encouraged them to movies, interviews and even special guests. Thus, one of the memorable moments was one in which we visited Joni B and Ernán Cirianni, cartoonists.
With them we had two days to share about your creative journey. On the one hand, Joni, Colombian writer with enough cynicism to say they do and enjoy the story in a country like ours and, on the other hand, Ernan, Argentine cartoonist building work has covered Latin America, from the creation and edition, with an original style. The central event of his visit was a two hour lecture in which he commented on his travels to a nearby auditorium for 50 people, an unusual number for a comic event in Colombia, especially since those 50 people participated willingly and insightful comments, as eventually gave themselves Ernán publications brought from Argentina to offer an impromptu mini-fair. The quantity and, especially, the quality of public reports a dissemination and training project as the Club, a critical step to create a culture of comics in Colombia. Go thing.
The Club will continue with a second season this coming year . And plan various activities, we will have new visitors, and even walls and glasses filled with exhibitions. That, say, because news will also come the magazine that published a few days the number 9 and is now preparing for the happy pack # 10. So we started 2010 with other air (is?), Preparing for all the good things to come. To you, for your patience, thank you very much.
