Powerpaola and Joni b Quindio roamed for days. They were, to be exact, on a farm lost in the jungles coffee, located at something like an hour and a half of Armenia. What were they doing there? For they were doing what they do in Residencia en la tierra , an artist residency in the region that came over to us for a workshop on creating cartoons.

Thus, using the close appearance of them, we had planted an invitation, visit the Comic Book Club. And all was given to the now-defunct Saturday 16 January. Accepted the proposal of a short comic book shop in the morning and, with Paola, a talk in the afternoon. Here are some memories:

Up there, a picture of the workshop coordinated b. Joni It was in the morning, started around 11 and advanced to the midday sun, the best was resting under the trees in the garden of the Museo del Oro Quimbaya. There were hints, shared lines, is criticized and discussed. Then in the evening was chatting with Paola. A bit of gossip about his work, his round the world, its relationship to drawing, his landing in the comics and everything that has come to be the series tropical Virus, which is published every Friday in Cartoons Royal and whose first part was released editorial, on paper, a few months ago.

improvise an auditorium in the squares of the Museum, right there on the stairs perhaps intended only as ladders by Rogelio Salmona, architect, people sat down. Also we put together a mini-fair for Powerpaola show their publications, so that some are craving for the latest Truchafrita , newly arrived in Armenia, and to know a few more numbers Larva. The talk, which lasted one time, moved through the surprise and laughter. Many were unaware of Powerpaola bullets, but it was a comic reference to which you can not deny one thing: discipline.

End of event. After that, no more missing, walked the streets of northern Armenia and came to the lamp, coffee has become an excuse for continuing to share with guests. Stretches things beyond 2010, things we'll talk about here. Then came the farewell. But we'll meet again, everyone.

Attendees at Powerpaola and Joni b, thank you very much. Also to the sponsors: the Museo del Oro Quimbaya, invaluable companion Travel and Residence on Earth and The Candle, ed accomplices. Are, as always, bullets.
