Doramas In the Park of Las Palmas, in an area called Pueblo Canario and adjoining the Hotel Santa Catalina, is the Museo Néstor .
Gran Canaria is dedicated to the painter Néstor Martín Fernández Tower (1887-1938), which is in contact with the symbolism and modernism in his travels in Madrid, Barcelona and several European cities.
And it really was a surprise. Of good.
I was struck by several things, including a living room ( Earth Poem ) full of erotic works that in many cases are obviously homoerotic, and all his work designing sets and costumes, such as El amor brujo de Falla's opera Don Giovanni .
The museum also exposed 'The object of art' , a collective project that takes years floating around and brings together works from the letters of a phrase, by artists such as Eduardo Chillida , Javier Mariscal, Alberto Garcia-Alix, Joan Brossa, Lele Ouka or Eva Lootz . A tribute to the ready made of Marcel Duchamp. Or so they say. The
phrase "If the purpose of art is the work of art then art does not exist outside of art."
